Why Should You Wear Sparkles?

I turned 41 in August. I had this realization that I'll take being 41 over 21 any day of the week. I remember when I was younger dreading being "old." What is old anyways? I've decided it's just a state of mind. Our oldest son told me and Joel that he thinks we are aging backwards. We both giggled and took the compliment! 

I've lived most of my life trying to please others. To be who THEY wanted me to be. Well I decided to break that mold and start living this short life I've been given for me. To be who I am meant to be. For me. For my husband. For my sons. 

This year Joel and I have a new motto: YOLO (you only live once) Adventures. We are living with no regrets. Trying new things. Visiting new places. Having new experiences. We've decided to live outside the box. Not to worry about what everyone else is doing or their opinions about what we are doing. If more people quit worrying about how they appear to others and just live their true authentic self, this world would be an entirely different place. 

So what do you think? Are you ready to live a little more bravely? To try something new that you've always wanted to do but never had the courage? I hope so. Because girl, life is too short, just wear the sparkles.
